Welcome to MetalMeet

....the largest metal shaping community of Enthusiasts & Professionals in the WORLD!

Don't forget to check out the Bugatti Build exercise thread. We're building online a complete full-scale, scratch built, aluminum body, retro Bugatti; first as a CAD plan and then we will build it one section at a time starting this at MetalMeet 05.
We'll continue the build at regional MetalMeets later in the year and into next year. There is nothing else like this anywhere!

If you enjoy watching the Discovery channel motorcycle and hot rod shows imagine being able to actually take part in the builds from concept drawing to finished products. You can! All you need to do is join our group and start participating. Our strength comes from our cooperation and willingness to share.

While the Internet make a daily gathering of this group possible, the group also sponsors /endorses regional and international MetalMeets. These MetalMeets are an extension of our website, but allow “hands-on” learning. It is common for professionals as well as novices to attend. These MetalMeets are an excellent way to network with other members as well as learning new skills and sharpening old ones.

Our group has been around for some time , and is now enjoying a new website. There are many forums with diverse topics in MetalMeet Forums as well as a MetalMeet Photo Gallery that allows you to post pictures of projects, tools , and designs.

For those aspiring to learn the craft, this is the place to learn how to use an English Wheel, or E-wheel, a power hammer, get welding tips, make bucks and hammerforms, learn coachbuilding or sheetmetal sculpture. There are tips and commentaries on building and modifying tools. It is a very diverse group, and a friendly one. Reading the forums and exploring the gallery will answer most any question, and if you need more help feel free to ask. We encourage new members to participate

You can browse the forums and galleries without registering but to post and participate you must first register and log in. We encourage our members to use a real name, and to become regular visitors to the site. One of the best things about this site is that it is all FREE!

We are a non-profit group and are funded by the modest charges at the International MetalMeet. We have no banner ads or pop-ups. Because MetalMeet is a bulletin board, you will get no email and can read only the forums that interest you. There are more features planned so stay tuned.....
