WOW that is incredible work! I guess I don't know anything about metal after all!

I gotta start studying! I have never shaped metal, just beat it into submission!

Ben

Jim,
It looks pretty good from where I'm sitting too!

Looks like you're mostly using hand tools. How did you make the accent line?

Default accent line

Hi Buddy,

I did it on my bead roller. I used the step rollers to do the outside line and my tipping wheel over a fairly soft wheel. I don't know what the material is as I picked it up at a surplus store.

I don't have a good picture of the setup, but I can do a tutorial later today if you want.

Thanks Ben. It looks worse in the pictures because I have been working to remove the ripples and dress the welded areas. I used a shrinking disc on some areas and as you know, it discolors the surface of the metal. I will wait until I finish welding the edge trim and the center pan before I sand and clean up the body.

I had a couple of hours this afternoon to work on the wagon trim. I got one side welded. I need to work it a little more to get it smoothed out, but I'm close .

Notice the Bugly Tools Intergalactic Division dolly in the background. Those welds almost planish themselves .
