Last weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Ed at his shop near Columbia, Mo. In speaking with over the phone he told me about his power hammers! Yes that is 3 heads on that frame. He also has many other tools and has a wide variety of customers projects and a few of his own. I did enjoy the visit and learned many things while there! We did have a few laughs, check out the last pic of a Very Rare Yoder machine!!!!
Check out the base! Neat idea on storing dies! column is filled with sand and doesn't "ring" Stretching on the left, shrinking facing the camera, Joel planishing on the right. Lennox, ewheel P3 pullmax Ed's Ewheel anvils index P3, Bridgeport, pexto bench. More lathes, drills and grinders. customer projects Ed's Dad on right Jay Self on left. Well I'll bet Fay Butler doesn't have one of these....... A very rare Yoder trash can!!!! Ed has a couple of Jim Hertavin's big Yoder castings to build a two headed giant. Sorry that's all the good pics, Some did turn out "blurred" or something shiny messed up the pics. If Ed ever invites you to visit you better go and see for yourself!!!! Thanks for all the info and help I hope to put it to good use! tt

Cal, Your name came up quite a bit! seems you have lead Ed down the road to into hammer heaven!!!!! He probably would have found his way but you got him there quicker! He also said when Hemming's came he went straight to Tools and Equipment at the back of the book, me too! Maybe you can make it the next time! I'd like to hear more about how the hammers and dies evolved. Take care! tt

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Back in 1992 i was able to get john glover wheeling videos from Cal and joyce davis. Then about four years ago the power hammer. Also got introduced to the pullmax at one of cal's metalshaping classes while getting familiar with the power hammer. Did'nt even know what a pullmax was or did, but he was right had to have one of those. So i need to thank cal and joyce for the help through the years. Oldgoaly thanks for posting and enjoyed the visit, my metal skills are far better than my computer skills. I shure enjoy seeing and reading what all the talented people are doing here. ed
