Default "Professional"?

Well, as of today I've quit my job as a biologist after 18 years and am a full time artist. I'll be splitting time between Kodiak Alaska and Seattle Washington. I made a humpback whale today in preparation for an art show in Sitka, AK. It should be an interesting ride!
Wish me luck; its for real now.

Congratulations Mark,
I did the same thing this last April. After working or the same person for thirty five years, I ventured out on my own. It is frigtening and very hard work but it dose get better. I have a wonderful wife and friends that given me help and moral support. Don't be affraid to ask for help when you need it. We as a metalshaping community are here for you also. Every day something, big or small, happens that affirms that the change was the right thing for me to do. The very best of luck to you. Your work is wonderful. Just keep putting your name out there, be honest, work your butt off and it will work out. Rick

It takes a great deal of courage to jump, rather than dangle the rest of our lives. I'm right behind you. Thank you, Chris
