Default Thank you Herb Jones

I want to take a moment to thank Herb Jones. Those of you who were new this year may not know Herb. Herb is an Oblong resident. He was the man who showed up in the golf cart, sometimes with his dog on-board. When I purchased the steel I had to have a way to get it off the truck. I live in Kentucky so that was going to be tough. With Herbs help we arranged for the steel to be delivered 2 weeks before the event to a farm that Herb works at. Kevin Utterback the farm owner removed the steel with his forklift and stored it on his farm until Metalmeet started. Kevin and Herb delivered the steel to the fairgrounds and left the forklift for us to use all week. I really do not know how else I could have done this without the help of Herb and Kevin.
Herb also arranged for the phone and internet service to be available in the office for us all to use. Fairpoint Communications provided us with the DSL and Herb arranged for us to borrow 3 computers that were provided by Kemper Technology Consulting.
Every year Herb reaches out to help us but he never asks for anything in return. So Herb, thanks for all you do to help us make sure Metalmeet is successful.

Sincerely
Paul

Yep, if anyone used any steel, the computers or internet it wouldn't have been there with out Herb's help.

And he arranged for Rt 33 Eats to be onsite all week as well. Makes it real convenient to obtain nourishment without having to leave the fair grounds.

Thanks Herb!

Thanks Herb for all you did to help us make MM 2010 a success. Without your help in the past we wouldn't have been able to do all that we have done in previous years either.

Thanks again,
Larry Robinson

I concur:
Herb is absolutely, bonafide, no sh*t, unequivically and without a doubt, Da MAN!!! He is absolutely golden! The work he does for us is priceless and without him (and Kevin) I would have been "Up the creek without the perverbial paddle" a couple years ago. He absolutely helped me down off the ledge.

What else can I say? Thank you Herb!

We all would be up "that well poluted tributary with no visible means of propultion", if not for the help of Herb, and of course some others there. One thing that makes Herb so special is that he doesn't even do any metal shaping. He did come thru regularly to meks sure things were going good. Kind of like parents with a child that just went out on their own. Have to keep an eye out to make sure things were going OK.
