Danny, not really trying to second guess you guys, but is a shroud for a front mounted fan really a good idea? I know there are extra inlet holes in it, but won't it still block air flow to the radiator?

In a rear shroud/fan situation the whole face of the radiator is open to air flow, and the flow is "funneled" through the opening. This makes the fan more effective, and makes sure that the whole fin area gets full air flow. A front mounted shroud would limit the amount of air flow, wouldn't it?

Danny, on your mag bender, if you had a steel form in the shape of a cone, do you think you could bend a cone shape in a sheet? I have been looking at this machine for a while.

James I think you could bend a cone with just a regular round just stagger your bends more if that makes sence if I get a chance I will try a cone in the next couple of days.

Default Hillman progress

I finished trimming out most of the old wheel wells today & started just blocking the front suspension for ride height guestimate . Tomorrow I will put the wheels & tires on & measure from there, ride height will be the bottom of the rocker fronts 4 inches to the ground approx to start.

Hi Danny, thanks for sharing your progress on the projects. That's one heck of a frame table you've got that Hillman sitting on - quite a necessary fixture when tackling such an intensive build.

Hey Danny, I just read through your thread and I am amazed at the quality of work you all do in your shop. I have done body and paint work sense about 73. I was about 13 or 14 teen then. I did it for free just to learn. I still love it and use to work at a restoration shop back in the late 80's or early 90's but they just wanted to mud it up and get it out. I am proud to see your work is of the quality it is. If your going to do something you might as well do it right. I am trying to pick up on and learn this shaping trade. Thanks for taking the time out to document all of your work. I have learned some tricks along the way. Oh by the way what happened to miss T. Thanks again John.
