Carbuilder, do you ever have any problem with the POR 15 you put inside some of those cavities burning and contaminating your TIG puddle? I took a class with Ron Covell and he said he doesn't weld too much over stations in his bucks because the melting glue from the plywood will contaminate the puddle...so I was wondering if the same could be true for POR.

I love all the projects you post on here BTW. Hope you recover soon!

On the por15 weld we do not have any problems with penatration, perosity or cleaning up welds where por 15 is involved & when possible we repor15 the weld areas after we are done welding, grinding & doing our metal work. But Make sure your new metal is sanded cleaned & metal preped before you put on the por15 it dosen't stick worth a bean to unpreped new metal old rusty stuff it sticks like glue & on you so make sure you have on gloves.

Or square up the rear quarters a bit on the Mazda, add a body line to the top of the side panels, new front fenders and hood, grille and you have a "new" Hillman.

If you haven't seen this already, you might want to take several hours and read through this thread:

Not exactly the same, but similar.
