Default Oblong Illinois General Information From Herb

I have tried to put together information for the out of the area person coming to Metal Meet 2006. I have included motels, airports, sights, maps and more for you. If you need more let me know and I will dig it up.

One thing for sure is that the ice cream shop is closed. So maybe Herb will have some time to attend Metal Meet 06. I should be healed up by then. On Aug. 7th I had my right hip replaced. No spring chicken anymore.

At the bottom there is a printable link.

Default Power in the livestock sheds?

Hi Herb, do you know if there is any power in the livestock sheds? We talked last year about folks setting up their tents in that area to stay a little more dry.

Default Power in the livestock area

Yes there is power there. The fairboard did lots of electrical upgrades this summer. You need to check with your fairboard contact about using this area.

The area is rented after fair season for farmers to keep tools out of the weather.

I don't think it would be a problem for them to remove them for 10 days.
It would be a dry area with elec.
