What's up everyone? The name is Grant (as my forum name says) and im 18, love ANYTHING old. I would have probably been better off in the 50's era rather than current. I would like to learn metal shaping, but I want to learn chassis design in and out first. I am probably going to build a frame for my 72 f100 using a fullsize chevy truck front clip and running all new rails from there on back. Just wanted to introduce myself and mention what my projects are as of now.

Welcome to MetalMeet Grant. There are some threads here on building Frames and pretty much everything else you desire to do. The Search box above is a Great way to get started. After you visit here more often it's much easier to click the "Today's Post" Link and keep up with current Topics. Also if you click on a Username you'll see a drop down menu, That menu is very helpful in searching for a post from a Specific User. I like your train of thought about using Chevy running gear up front on the four letter "F" word vehicles, tell me your using a Chevy Drivetrain too???:-D

while, a 350 or 454 is temptin, i have a 302 already. and im thinking a blown 302 for the project. Im hoping to have my piping (rubber hosing under hood, radiator and stuff) glass blown to fit and green colored. I think that + coolant running through would make for quite a bad ass look! I will probably do that for show, and regular hoses for driving it as I plan on it being a 3 or 4 days out of the week truck. I love the oval surrounding the axle that the guy with the 37 is doing. That is gorgeous, but would not work in my situation as I want to bag the frame/truck to lay flat out on its rockers.
