Default Building Austin J40 pedalcar

Hi All,

today i started with the first part from my J40 peddler from the 50's.

I decided to make a whole new one wich will be a great challenge.

I went over to Emile's shop and we figured out how to make the part that sits behind the front bumper.

We used the "pullmax" to make the joggle and the tipping wheel to make the 90 degree flange.

The Eckhold was still there so i used it to shrink and strech things staight.

Ben,
are you planning to cast the hood emblem?
i am missing one, so i can't duplicate it.
There was someone in New Zealand or Austrailia
that was making complete cars a few years ago
but have not heard anything lately.

Take care!

Default Emblem

Hi Terry ,

i think i am gone jigsaw one out of stainless.

The Emblem however was discontiniute after a surtain date so it is possible that your peddler dit not have one.

The replyca's are built by http://www.kiwipedalcar.com and are fiberglass.

Ben, Your hood is looking great. Is there a photo of your helve shrinker setup?. Are all your pedalcars the same scale?.............john

Ben,

Your hood looks great I like the body line in the hood. Makes it look like a full size hood.
