The addition of a few hard lines will counterbalance the many soft radiused lines.
The last rendering in post no. 1013 looks really nice except what happened to the hard lines in the fenders? I'm referring to some drawings posted by Ralph:
post no. 55 an page 6 (http://www.metalmeet.com/forum/showt...1&page=6&pp=10. I think those lines in the fenders do a lot for the style and do help to counter balance what is quite a bit of the large soft round shapes I see.
Also on the bottom of Ralph's post there is a side view showing the roof raised.
I think the roof is still too low, looks chopped and out of proportion. Maybe not quite as high as the profile I'm referring to but higher than I perceive it to be in the last rendering (Post no 1013)

I suggest a Dallas figure like Debbie.

She is found and supported by another MM member at http://speedtv.com/texashardtails/media.php or some other suitable models.
Debbie works for me .

Hi Ernie,

Gene O just taught me a trick post # 1013 is on this page:

http://www.metalmeet.com/forum/showt...page=102&pp=10

I seem to remember that Alex wrote in an earlier post that the ridges on the fenders are small, yet time consuming details that are going to be added, once we decide which way to go.

BTW:
I'd rather "sell the mohawk thing" on the roof than have a sharp edge on the side of the hood!!

Hi Anders

I used Gene's trick to find and reference pages in my post...a valuable tool to get around a thread this huge.
Now I understand about the creases in the fenders, I wait for the final version, thank you.

Do you mean you don't like the Mohawk thing on the roof? I don't. I thought I read somewhere (page????) that the Mohawk flange and rivets were due to a limitation in fabrication technique years ago.
Just my 2 cents, in the end I'll go with the majority. The devil is in the details.

Hi Ernie,
No, I don't like it very much either. You're right. Wray mentioned in a very early post that the flange and the rivets are on the T57 because it's made from Magnesium and they didn't know how to properly weld that back in the 30ies.

But if we're going to weld the rest of the car together, I don't see any reason of keeping it.

Anders,

Think the 'Mohawk' is an important unique design characteristic. Just like the over sized rivets.

Maybe the 'Mohawk' also adds to the high speed stability......
