Default Wheels

Thanks I'll take a look at them. I don't think any one would notice the difference.

Hello Tinman,
You have an eye for style and do outstanding work.

Bill Spear suggested I check in and give a progress report. On my car the fabrication is complete, save for some planishing on the tail. Paint and assembly is next, but work has taken over my life, so I don't expect to get a break before summer.

Default Wheel size

Well..there is a big difference between 16,17 and 18 inch wheels (visually)..The nice thing is you can experiment around with the visuals...BUT..Tom is right, these are cycle wheels built to take entirely differnt stresses than car wheels..I think bigger hubs and two lengths of wires would not only look better but perform better...If we could get some critical mass going we could no doubt begin to make part for sale..hubs, rims etc...but for now you can still have plenty of fun with the Honda wheels.

Anyway here is a perfect example of why this project is so cool..in the process of solviong this problem you are going to learn the whole history of wheels, wire wheels in in particular.

I STILL which some of you hotshoes n the metal turning department would show us how to make disk wheel covers!

Default Yup

The picture of the car shows a lever on that side and I thought that maybe it could be used as that.

Looks great. You have done a great series on your CK. Can't wait to see it finished.
