Default Need help

I was using my oxy-act torch to try and heat some metal for bending. Well not only did it bend it also cut. Obviously the torch was too hot. I need some help in figuring out the settings. I have a total of four valves from the bottle (two at the bottle and two at each guage). If anyone can help I would certainly appreciate it. I do have a photo of my set up if needed.
Thanks guys

Hi Wingmen13, A real name is a little more friendly and I don't know the gauge of steel that you are working with, but as a general rule, I use 10lbs of oxygen and 5lbs of acetylene, and use a 00 tip.
