I've been working on a Stretched front fender for my sporster. I split the fender down the center, widening it 3/4 inch then cut it in half adding 10 inches to it. Then by cutting pie cuts, hammer and dolly work and hand forming I've got a pretty decent fit. The pie cuts are welded up bot unground so it looks pretty rough right now but it's getting there. My question is is there a better way to get what I'm after without going the route I did, and without access to an English wheel? This way will work, but there's GOT to be a way to accomplish it that's not as crude. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks, Phil |

Hi Phil,
Yes, there is a better way. You start from scratch and build what you want. We'll teach all about it at MetalMeet. You can do it without an e-wheel, but it's alot more work. a hollowed out tree stump will allow you to rough shape it and a slapper and dolly will come in handy to smooth out the lumps and bumps.
