coating removal problem
hi,
We are using SS 430 ba finish 0.4 mm thick 32mm width strip to punch blank of 28 mm dia for part which is in shape of a cap used to cover plastic housing & curled at end to lock the assembly .previously we used uncoated material which was buffed in the end.Now we are shifting to use coated material to avoid buffing .but during punching operation pvc coating on side walls of cap gets sheared & gets trapped in the die & removing it is very time consuming.can any one suggest a simpler method to use coated sheet metal . Thanks
