Hey guys, I just picked up BOTH a HF and a Mittler Bros powered bead roller last week....the old doesn't rain for years but then it pours thing going on I guess. Anyhow, besides going to Mittler, does anyone else make good dies for either machine? (I realize one won't fit the other)..
I got a "hemming set" with a delrin die and one small square bead set with the Mittler, and it has the home use motor on it. I like the sounds of the industrial drive motor but at $800 it seems a little excessive.......Are there any proven alternatives to step up the power? The majority of my work will be straight beads in jeep floor panels or similar 18 gage steel. I got a stand with the MB one too, all I need is a fence of some sort to help out on longer straight ribs, and the correct dies to form the needed patterns. I also have an old Atlas lathe and can (I think) make my own but I think buying them will get me more productive sooner....time is in short supply this year. Thanks for any leads! |

I bought a set of tipping rolls from Joe for my old Pexto 622. Super nice I didn't know you could make bare metal look that good. Plus can't beat the price I'm sure you cant make them for what he charges.
