Pics from a four hour shop tour yesterday.
The shop is in Puyallup and hosted an open house/ barbecue a day before the Puyallup Goodguys show. These are all cell phone pictures so excuse the poor quality. This shop specializes in world class restorations of Ferrari's. The shop owner doesn't want car pictures posted on the internet because some owners don't want their cars shown. All I can say is there were a number of Ferrari's in various stages of restoration. Outside the shop building. Notice the old carnival ride, awaiting restoration?? 1934 Alfa, 1935 German Grand Prix winner. I'm only posting this one car picture because I know the owner and he's generous in showing his cars. This pic shows the extent to their restoration work. Ferrari race car? Some of the tubing is being replaced. Engine shop. Main shop area. Machine shop area. Storage area, cars awaiting restoration?? Shaping equipment. Libert shear, planishing hammer, bead rollers, corner notcher. P5 Piullmax not shown in this shot. Eckold. They have about a 10 sets of various dies. The shrinking dies in the machine seemed to have a much coarser stippling than I've seen. Much more panel marking than Erco dies I have. Home made English wheel. Notice the motorized bead roller mounted in the lower anvil holder. With the upper wheel pushing down the bead roller is really stiff. |

Thanks for the pictures Doug. I like that English wheel as a C clamp idea.

The particular P3 Alfa is from that famous race at Avus in Germany when Tazio Nuvolari beat the Germans in an "old Italian racecar" on their home ground. Pretty competitive monoposto today and still runs alcohol. Double overhead cam inline 8-cylinder with twin superchargers and lots of go fast stuff within.
