Redid a few things that annoyed me. Moved the motor to the rear, moved the eccentric to the rear, no longer will I bump it with a upside down motorcycle fender.
changes:
(1)CUT pass through hole in frame, made a 1" tube connecting rod, (2) remounted sewing machine motor and used a chevy fan belt. (3) Powder coated the spring clamps, the bell crank still adjusts the stroke from the fixed eccentric. (4) New 1 1/2" rear bearings, new socket mount for helve arm. (5) New plate welded into frame to accept it. THE 5/8" bolt had "tore" the flat plate on the sides and was running in 5/8" bearings. Small Bearings are not that good, but I saved them for another project. (6) I added backup pieces under the bellcrank bearings so it would quit slipping in the elongated bearing block bolt holes..
Still to redo, the front slide.. wore out, the UHMW will not tighten up anymore so It needs a redo. I am thinking of pouring babbit and grease fitting. Right now I am thinking of a female (hollow) slide so it can take a 1x1 like the bottom mount and adjust down and lock in.. A clamp to convert it to a straight reciprocating machine also.
Then, in a whirlwind, I had a brain fart, tried and tried to tune it in for a while, then happened to look over and see it was running 2700rpm on the inverter, I slowed it down to 1750 and it was "perfection" once again.. (oops)..
Want to do some "fancy" side covers now.
