Is the oldgoalie going to make it this year?
Also, I've had a couple of calls looking for a contact person for the metal meet, anyone want to claim it? This is the 10th year for the Jalopy Showdown & there is ALWAYS interest in the metal meet.
I like to think that our show is different than any other car show because we do have a metal meet, cars running on the track, and a race car museum on site...LOTS to do in a day other than sit behind your car in a lawn chair! Thanks to everyone in the group that teach a lot of people what can be done with metal.

Larry,
A definite maybe, Joel gets out of school the week before, really depends how long it takes him to pack. Who know what the "frat house" will have them doing. John Sokolovich is the local contact. If we go we will make a week of visiting a few shops out that way. On the downside, 4$ gas and his mom is trying to get him a summer job.....

Jalopy showdown is one hell of a show. I have never been to an event where The folks were so friendly. Larry and associates have the best car show in the country. Lots of neat stuff in the flea markets tons of neat cars and the mud drags are very entertaining. You owe it to your self to attend.

As usual, it's on my calendar !!!! The museum expansion is definitely worth
a look (especially with the increased drag racing area), and the show itself
is GREAT if you appreciate "real" hot rods. If anyone has a question, PM me.

May 19th is only a couple of weekends away. It's time to "check in" if you're
coming to the Jalopyshowdown. What equipment/tools are you bringing? What
project(s) do you wish to work on? Can we line up some demo's between 10 am
and 12 pm to add a little more structure? Let me know who and what you're
willing to do and I'll add it to the "activities chalkboard".

Thanks in advance for supporting the museum through your attendance.
