Copper planter material thickness?

I haven't read this forum in awhile. I haven't been doing much metal shaping but I have a new project: copper planters:



The round planter is about 33" diameter at the top. The trough is 24" wide.
The plan:
Hammer form a bottom to each planter with a vertical flange.

Form the sides by hand bending over something round or slip rolling.

Make the rolled top by hammering a separate piece of material over a 3/4" tube rolled to the correct diameter.

Rivet it all together.

What thickness copper? Alloy 110 ok? What temper?

If necessary I'm considering some bracing going side to side in the trough.

i would go with the H0 4 for what you are doing. and you might get away with 16oz copper but the big tub might be better using 20oz depending what's going in it and how large the edge is around the top...

Ok 16 or 20 oz = .0216" or .0270"
H0 4 is full hard correct?

The rolled lip on the edge is designed to be rolled half way around a 3/4" tube.

I have a good metal supplier so I can get thicker than 20oz. I had initially priced .050" thickness but I'm worried about hammer forming it.

Is .027 really thick enough? I'm worried about the planters holding their shape. I guess I can order one sheet and see how it goes.
