Just curious, why American made?
If it's only for the purpose of "buying American" be careful what you wish for. I've been on the phone for a couple days looking for a common cold rolled steel alloy with a good surface finish like we used to get up to a few years ago. I wrongly assumed what I had been using the last 20 years was American made and the lower grade stuff that's available now is imported. That's back wards, what I had been using was imported (Spain, Germany, Australia), the poor quality stuff is made in America. |

Alcoa still produces in the US. They, or their tech center, should be able to give you some leads.
From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcoa Alcoa's Massena West plant is the longest operating smelter in the United States, having been in continuous operation since 1902. The Reynolds Aluminum Plant became Massena East when the companies merged in 2000. Alcoa had a smelting plant in Badin, North Carolina from 1917 to 2007 and continues a hydroelectric power operation there.[24] Alcoa maintains several Research and Development Centers in the United States. The largest one, Alcoa Technical Center, is located East of its Pittsburgh Headquarters at Alcoa Center, PA. The "Tech Center" is as large as some college campuses, has its own Zip Code and maintains an extensive intellectual and physical resource for innovation. Alcoa's extensive safety program continuously improves safety at the Tech Center. After Paul O'Neill became Alcoa CEO in 1987, Alcoa became one of the safest companies in the world, despite the aluminum industry's inherent risks.[25]

It also offers aluminum fabrications and finishes. The company serves customers in the United States and internationally. Temroc Metals, Inc. was founded in 1964 and is based in Hamel, Minnesota. As of January 30, 2006, Temroc Metals, Inc. was a subsidiary of Signature Aluminum, Inc. Founded in 1964 Ok and Signature Aluminum is Canadian mainly this article says they closed 3 US plants that day. but there is one in NJ. http://sharonherald.com/local/x12083...plant-to-close affiliated Aluminum Shapes LLC in Delair, N.J., or Signature Aluminum Canada which has extrusion plants in Richmond Hill and Pickering, Ontario; and St. Therese, Quebec; and a fabrication plant in Woodbridge, Ontario.
