I "stumbled" upon this thread & realized just how long it's been since I've gotten any real work done on the "Z". Other projects & life in general keep getting in the way. BTW: I'll be a grandpa again sometime this week, so there goes more time.
I did get the "Z" firewall finished over the last while.

Got it in primer

And I'm in the process of building hinges for the tilt front end that slide inside the frame rails. I went through all kinds of prototypes before I found the shapes that would clear where they had to clear & function how they had to function.

They are designed to slide out 3.75" so the front end clears the doors, then slide up 1.75'' so the nose of the front end doesn't hit the ground when it tilts. I built them inside the rails to look a little cleaner & so they don't interfere with the rest of the stuff that has to fit in front of the engine. THis will eventually be a reverse drive F-2 Pro Charger set up, so it will get crowded by the time it's done. The front end is't to the actual functioning stage yet so we will see if the hinges work in the real world. Just need to find the time to get back on it.

That's about all I have on the "Z" lately.

Thanks everybody. Sorry, been busy & I haven't had time to stop by here much. Recently we took the Trans. (a Rosler 210) from my car & put it in my Son's car replacing his T56.
I replaced the plastic console with an aluminum unit.
Made a pattern out of some scrap coroplast.
