Victor J27 T17 torch question

I have an old Victor torch with no markings on it except for a scribed number 17... it is Identical to a Victor J27 and has some J tips and some T17 tips and a 1250 cutting head... Anyone know what the story is on these "17" torches?... Thanks, Joe
