You guys are as nuts as I am old. Wasteing all those electrons on wishing an old fart Happy Birthday.
Thanks for your concern. I remember as a young kid looking at men as old as I am now and thinking, "God they are old". It's funny now that I'm there it doesn't seem the same as I had imagined it would, or may have felt, for those old guys in the past. Other than meds for arthritis, a new knee, slower urination, less sex, thin and easily torn skin, bifocals, 30% memory loss, restless leg syndrome and difficulty staying awake equally off-set by difficulty sleeping my interests and enjoyments of today are derived from activities and associations with people and processes I relate to my youth. I did, in fact, drive the Mabaan last weekend at speeds over 100 mph into blind corners requiring hard braking and shifting to compete against much younger rascals whom while I'm on the track I consider myself to be. For those of us who find that our time on earth is on the downside of longevity I can tell you, it is rewarding to be part of a group of doers like the guys on MetalMeet. Thanks for being here!
