Default UHMW Polyethylene

I get UHMW Polyethylene from McMaster Carr , good service and good prices.
This material is a third the cost of delrin (an acetal) and has better impact resistance too.

However, UHMW is softer than acetal (Delrin) - which I would guess has an effect on it's impact resistance too. I feel both materials (along with Nylon) have a serious place in metalshaping tools.

I used to get my UHMW from Low Cost Metals. They're now called Online Metal Supply, and their sales are integrated with eBay - no idea how they rate as a supplier since the change. http://www.onlinemetalsupply.com

I just bought two sheets of 3/4 UHMW about 20" X 96" . I'll post a pic later today.
