Default Mayer Bros, Helve hammer



This was designed as an alternative type blacksmithing power hammer.
Mayer Bros, made the "Little Giant" as well.

Pete Stanatis restored this one.

That 's a pretty slick looking hammer. I love mechanical parts and figuring out how they work and how the person first figured to do it that way. Thanks for the picture.

Thanks Gene, wow, that is a heavy hitter. Pete did a nice job restoring it. I can see where it would be a "blacksmithing" hammer. I think it would obliterate sheetmetal. Thanks for the link.
