Default Wiss hand metal shears really stink, right out of the "

I know that some here have said that pro snips were the best they had tried.

I however needed a pair and was at the Home Despot and well, I have a pair of big 10" Wiss material shears that are great, so I thought I would give the metal shears a try.

right hand threads where it should be left, self loosening shears.

Add that gem to a tightening screw head designed by a moron.
Take a philips, remove the meat that the blades drove against so that the head is pre stripped and then add some cute little wisps of material to the bit to mate with cute little scratches on the fastener. Whoever designed that fastener, is proof that the sad adage that the most painful thing about getting an engineering degree is when they hook up the vacuum and suck out half their brains before they turn them loose on the rest of us.

guess I'll rivet set the nut in place, at least it will work for a while.
