Default Quick Release?

Hi guys,
I'm just about ready to start building a full-sized wheel and I am trying to finalize my design. Does anyone have any thoughts for or against quick releases for removing the lower wheels? Thanks

Default John's new e-wheel

Hi John,

You must have been busy, I think this is your first post in ages.

I have used a quick releases on my first wheel, it proved to be more of a bother than a help. I removed it and have never designed or built another e-wheel with one. If you enter the wheel at a angle with your panel there is no problem getting back in at the same pressure. The only time that proves to be difficult is when the pressure is very high when smoothing walnuts or lumps made from sandbagging.

Quick realeases are usually made below the yoke which proves to be an awkward location when wheeling out a large panel. That reaching under the panel is easy say no easy do. If you insist that you want a quick release consider installing it on the top yoke .

Well good, no quick release for me then. That'll help streamline the build! Who knows I might even have it ready for MM04
Thanks
