Default Armour progress

Hi all,

I had posted some of my armour many a moon ago before the crash.

Since then, I've been slowly making more. Way too slowly, but one has to work and whatnot to keep eating!

Anyhoo, some progress pictures:

Breastplate:

Backplate:

Gauntlets:

Elbows in progress:

There are so very many anatomical and historical errors in the harness so far. Some of it I'm quite dissappointed with, other bits somewhat proud. It's my first suit of armour, so lots of learning along the way.

When it's finished, it should look something like the armour from Germany circa 1465-1475.

Dave

WOW! Nice job Dave. I know how difficult it is to work with those small pieces - especially the gloves.

Wow Dave!
I think you can be proud of it all..itīs not that easy to get everythin in right place, there are a lot of beads and lines who should line up

I have always been impressed of "armour makers" because of the patience and skills it takes to match all parts together!!

Go on and show us your nice work!

No problems keeping the lines there

Great work Dave!

Any exhibitions/tournaments in the Melbourne area in January?
Was hoping to see your work live since I'll spend some time there then.

Uh, not that I know of.

Also, I live in Canberra, Australian capital territory now. So if you're coming here we can meet up.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Here's some hinges I made for the armour:

And here's my first bit of armour (which is 10th-11th century, not 15th):
