I went looking for a semi-local source for UHMW and found Seelye Plastics, also known as Eiler Plastics and part of the Activar Industrial Plastics group.

They say they have no minimum and charge actual UPS fees for shipping. I pick my stuff up, so can't verify this.

Sample prices - 2.5" dia. UHMW $4.60/ft., 1"dia UHMW $.74/ft.

They have locations in Bloomingtom & Duluth MN, Cedar Rapids IA, Fargo ND, and Omaha. They will ship anywhere.
