Default LFD's Coupe build

To start off with let me say this will be a slow build being done around customer builds, and my family time.

I have not completely decided on the final rendering but it will be of a chopped tail dragging 3W. The size will be about the same as a 36 3W but with my own taste and design. It is going to run a 93 Lincoln Mark VIII 4.6L quad cam motor and AOD. I have not decided if I am going to run the lincoln IRS and MII front or a 94 C4 vett IFS and IRS set up I have as well.

This is a 35 frame I picked up along with the titled 36 frame I will use for the final driver. This 35 frame was to far gone to put on the road but will make a great build platform for my bucks and jigs. Then one shot of the mock up firewall I made tonight and a pic of my son from a car show today, he's the one on the right.

Sounds like a great project Kevin. I'll be watching this one for sure! 36 3W is one of my all time favourites (missed out on one that went to the scrappers a couple of weeks back)
I'm keen to see your take on putting your own interpretation on the design!

Not much for tonight just some rough fitting of the test fire wall. It will make more sense as the build goes on but it was all designed around this motor so it is great for me to see it starting to take shape.

For those of us that don't know the secret handshake, would you be referring to building a 3-Window Ford Coupe or something else?

I will keep you in mind because I know nothing about these engines.

Think 36 3W ford with 38-9 Lincoln style low and smooth flowing with a bit of 32-24 ford style here and their. The body will be completely hand built so it may change as it progresses. I have the side profile from the belt line done set in stone but the roof and truck are still being played with.

Here is the start of the sob rails. I picked up (2) 4x10 sheets of 16 & 18G CRS and (7) 4x10 sheets of 19G AKDQ along with a lot of misc sticks or 1/2x1/2 square and round stock, 1/8" & 1/4" rod and so on to start getting the shape set and then real work can begin.

Kevin I am assuming the new fab-ed up pieces on the frame are the new body base sub structure. Are they one piece, if one piece how did you bend the 90, or how many per side. Did you use the Lazze shrinker stretcher to form the curve's. Any info on how you formed them would be great. I need to do something similar for my 36 Roadster project, you are off to a great start.
