I wonder if you were influenced by cast iron park bench ends... it does look pretty.

Maybe... didn't think of it till you mentioned it Terry, I like Palle's wheel too. It just takes up to much space in my little garage. I have a 18" frame right now and it is just to small!!! Then I thought that my new wheel doesn't have to look like an Imperial Would have been easier to build, but I think it's OK for a tool to be pretty as well as functional

It's beyond Ok for a tool to be pretty as well as functional. Great tools can border works of art and a lot of them through time have. Look at machine tools in the 30's and 40's, even into the 50's and 60's in some cases. Ever see a Monarch 10EE or a Rivett 1020 lathe, those were works of art that functioned beautifully. Start with a great shape, which you have in that design. Add a quality build, nice paint, plating or different materials nicely polished and finish it off with some classy pin striping and you'll have a work of art that's a pleasure to look at as well as use. Personally I think an ewheel frame should have some weight to it too. You pull all that off and you may end up like me, every time I walk past my 10 EE I have to run my hand down the head stock.
