Evening all,
Well I added another toy to the garage. For the Princely sum of $550.00 I purchased

an Atlas 10 X 36 lathe. It should help in making new tooling for moretoys

It came with a bunch of extras

There is a tapering attachment but I think it is missing a clamp to the back ways. Does anyone on the list know what might be missing on this other than the clamp? and is there info on acquiring or making what I need.

Congrats Tim!!!! I think I misspelled the title - that should have read - Tim...Steal....Lathe!!!!!

Man you got way more than $550 worth of accessories alone!!!!!!

You CAN'T go wrong!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the Dark Side

I see you having LOTS of fun with that!!!!!

Wish I could help more with the Taper attachment question - I do agree it appears you are missing a clamp. Atlas is pretty popular - so I would think you'd be able to locate one pretty easy!

Have Fun !!! Work Safe!!!!

Now I just have to figure out what some of the bits and trinkets are for  . There are several collets but I need to figure out if all the closer parts are there. That will be part of the fun and learning curve

Hi Tim,

Nice find. There is an Atlas lathe group on Yahoo that will be able to help with the taper attachment question.
