I have planned since our last International Metalmeet to create a post about our faithful vendors. The vendors who have supported Metalmeet in positive ways for many years. These vendors truly deserve our support. I cannot thank them enough for being there for us. Lucky for us that the quality of their products is top of the line.
I wish to make these posts as we constantly have new members who may not know our vendors and what they do.
I will start with Dagger Tools.
Dagger tools is owned and operated by Craig Peterson.

This is Craig Peterson. You can find him and his booth every year at the International Metalmeet.
Dagger Tools owner Craig Peterson is a full-blooded Metalmeet supporter. Craig is not just a salesman either. Craig is an expert metal shaper. He comes from the aircraft industry where he worked in the seventies and eighties. He currently donates his time to aviation museums to help restore old aircraft.
Craig understands metal. He has a degree in metallurgy. This knowledge goes a long way in his constant pursuit of quality tools. Craig acquires knowledge from professional metal shapers worldwide to improve on tools and expand his inventory. Dagger tools are made in America with many of the finishing touches and assembly done by Craig himself in his Wixom, Michigan facility.
That facility has many faces. In that building you will find Craig's office where all his phone-in orders are received and shipped from. You will find a warehouse full of metalshaping tools that will make you drool. In this warehouse section you will find the workbenches where Craig assembles hammers and stretcher stands along with many other tools that have been received from his foundry. Final grinding and polishing is done as well as the Dagger Tools logo burned into wooden hammer handles.
My favorite part of his facility was the classroom. Craig offers sheetmetal shaping classes. The class is kept small so the two instructors can give personal attention to each student. Craig is one of the instructors and the other is Pete who is an excellent weldor and metalshaper. He sings and dances pretty good too. I was luck enough to take part in one of these classes. I was amazed at how well these men worked together and although it was a lot of work, I really enjoyed myself.
If you wish to see the quality of Craig's work, check out this link.

The 1959 Chrysler Imperial Speedster project was built with the help of Craig and his Dagger tools.
Friends we are lucky to have so many great vendors at Metalmeet. I will continue these posts and introduce our vendors to our new members and remember, these vendors deserve our support, and the truth is, there are no better metalshaping products than those sold by our vendors.
Thank you
