I'm trying not to pee myself as I look at these photos.

A local Minnesota rodder was introduced to Cass and asked if he could make the top half of an aluminum belly tank. Cass said, "Sure." The guy asked him how many pieces and where the weld seams would be. Cass replied, "What weld seams. It will be one piece. How else?"

Those of you who have seen Cass' book will recognize a few things. The ewheel he's using is the one that is adjustable for height and angle.

In the first photo you can see he has the machine up high at eye level and slightly rotated toward him so he can see what he's doing. If you look carefully, you can see the shrinker marks from Eckold

You can also see that he has opened the panel up so it can be wheeled with his wide low crown
And the finished result

Thanks Dan for posting Cass's work, he makes it look easy, but a lot of thinking went into his wheel and other tools he has made. I highly recommend members get Cass's book and enjoy learning from him. tt;)

Can I beg you to mount a onboard camera on it to take video and post it on youtube of your runs??

You can youtube search "onboard camera" and spend "hours" watching fun things other people are doing.. I enjoy that immensely.

(Kenny Roberts video near the top there. )

The Belly Tank Lakester will be runing a vintage 4 cylinder Flathead on gasoline V4FGL Class.

Thanks for the welcome to the forum, guys, I have been lurking for years but never had anything to post.

Them belly tanks as designed are good for 300+mph of aerodynamics it says here in the byline. Majority of them were P38 tanks?? (not so sure about that)

(whoo hoo, I'm already having fun) if I put a big "shaker" in the couch sitting in front of the lcd television I can have some more huh?? Bench racing? , (search 763mph Thrust SSC), It might disturb the bulldogs sleep thou.

Ron L. has some videos up with his on youtube.
And this cute one of the family involved in this tanker..

That looks like such a blast. I have an F101 Voodoo tank and 3 quad 4 Olds engines for a project that will probably never happen. Nice to see yours nearly completed.
