Hi this is the sailfish that I made at meetmeet this year.It is made from aluminum .My dad welded the fin on with his welder when we got home and polished it.Thank you everyone I had fun.Mallory

Mallory I am so happy that you came back. I was impressed that your enthusiasm with metal shaping had grown in the last year. Thanks for showing others how to make fish too. Keep up the good work.

Awesome job Mallory! Did you use a tipping wheel on the dorsal fin or are those each stepped with a bead roller? Great job.

Ken , I can answer for Mallory on this one. She used the tipping wheel to tip the fin from the body then she used the step dies on each fin.It looks kind of flat and dull in the photo ,but it is highly polished and it has a fair amount of shape to it.It looks great hanging on her wall and it should last for years.Some day in the future she can point to it and say I did that when I was 12 . That is one fine fish, and for a fish, it smells real good. Lilly and I are very pleased with accomplishments. We hope to see you and your father next year at MM12.

Mallory The sailfish looks great. Thanks so much for the fish that you made for me at Meetalmeet. We have had it on display at the shows since Metalmeet and it will be on display this weekend at the Turkey Rod Run at Daytona Beach, FL
