Here is Wray's Note for Metalmeet03 He says it well, We need the same stuff.

Hello all,

A lot of folks have been asking what to bring to Randy's. Most important are safety items. Please bring your favorite gloves, your favorite welding helmet, your face shield, and ear muffs or plugs.

Some of the basic hand tools needed are vise grips, all kinds, but especially long reach ones with or without pads. Also bring magic markers, pens, pencils, rulers, and lots and lots of tape measures. For some reason tape measures disappear and are not found for hours .

Stand lamps to shed more light on your project would help too. Bring extension cords, air hoses, air grinders, DA sanders, sand paper, masking tape, fine line tape. A stool for saving your back if you have to work at a low level.
Your favorite hammers , slappers, and dollies would also help. Also bring any size electric right angle body grinder .

Make sure that you mark all of your tools to identify them .

I know MN can be a bit frosty this time of year, but does your shop operate in the winter at bikini temps, shirt-sleeve temperatures, sweatshirt temps, parka & long-johns or ?

I just want to determine if my safety items need to deal with preventing/treating frostbite or heat exhaustion

Peter,

All you will need to deal with are excitment, crowds and new friends. My shop is very comfortable.

Are you actually going to be here? so far you will get the long distance award (if we have one). Let me know for sure.

Yes, I'm planning on coming.

I will be cheating, however, on the long-distance award.

I've recently started a consulting job (computer software stuff) in Chicago. I'll just go to Minneapolis that weekend instead of returning to the Seattle area.

Weekends back are short anyway. I left Chicago Ohare airport last night at 7:40 PM Chicago time, got home 11PM Seattle time. Tomorrow morning I leave the house at 9:30 AM, back in hotel in Chicago about 8 PM Chicago time.
