I had seen something like this before and wanted to give it a shot. So here ya go. I started with some round stock and old sheet metal (it was pretty thick, next time I'll use thinner stuff)

I decided to use a old disc from a plow for the base. Here is a pic of the "pedals" formed and buffed. I had fun using my planishing hammer on these. First time using it, probably didn't really need to but it's new..lol

here you can see where I zipped some spot welds on to one of the pedals

And here it is tacked together. I still need to make a bloom for some where on the top and a couple other things but you get the idea.

Thanks russell here is a 3' moose at the hump I did. It's a rough one but I had only been working with metal in general for about 2 months or so. It was made so a kid could "ride" it if was so inclined :D

Welcome to MM. Nice job on both of the sculptures. Are you using MIG,
TIG, or oxy-acetylene for your work?

Thanks and for the type of welding I use what ever I think would be the best for what I am doing. On the moose and the cactus I used mig.Welcome to MM. Nice job on both of the sculptures. Are you using MIG,
