When I bought my pullmax it didn't have a back fence with it
I'm starting to tool up the P-9 and decided it was time to make an adjustable fence.
After a visit to the local scrap yard and some material I had in the rack this is what I came up with:

5160

I cut some dove tails to ride on the lower male dovetail
then welded some 5x6x5/16 to one dovetail the other is drilled and taped and is used like a clamp. I bolted a 4 x 6 x 3/8 to the top of the 5/16 plate
add a gusset at and 2x3/8 x3-1/2 high flat bar to the vertical clamp dove tail

5161

I cut 2 dovetail to act like clamps (similar to the bottom)
drilled and taped 3/8-16 in the center installed a 3/8 bolt to tighten the sides together ( I will replace it with an adjustable handle like the one on the lower dovetail
then drilled 1/4" and installed 2) 1/4 dowel pins for alignment

5162

Bottom dovetail and mounting bar

5163

clamped a piece of 1x1-1/2 bar to the angle that is welded for the fence
then clamped it to a 25 MM stem to align center and to make the back
dove tail parallel for welding

5164

All welded with stiffeners
in the lower position

5165

In the up position

5166

Just another view
I still have to cut out at the black lines to get around the stem
I will parkerize it when it is finished.

here are some more upgrades
Joe Hartson showed me a picture of his back fence and he had a roller for
curved parts
so I decided to make one based on his
I had machined 4 male dove tails when I started the back fence
just for things like this:)
so I still have 2 for inventory when something else comes up

5201
I made it to attach with the dovetail
all the material was in the rack
I got everything parkerized

5202

the roller is 2" dia. x 2" long stainless steel
I machined for bearings on both ends

5203
these are some die holders for the pullmax to hold my UHMW doming dies
and also my mechammer dies the holders are stainless steel that is why it
is not black

5204
thes are some parts after parkerizing
the large roung part will hold the lower doming die
the large nuts for the upper and lower tool holder on the pullmax
was looking bad so I plated them also

5205
I tried out the doming die worked fine

5206
the lower holder holds a lower doming die that Rod Doc posted awhile back
it saved me alot of work :) I planned to make a lower doming dish for each one of my UHMW uppers ( about 30) his design worked for all of them
I also made a smaller one for the mechammer dies. Thanks Richard !
