Well I was only a member for a few months and didn't contribute much because I was too busy soaking up old posts like a sponge. Ive been playing with cars all my life but never really learned shaping. I made the mistake of buying a book a couple years ago and and been obssesed ever since. I've made minor patch panels and done some fab work so shaping is my next step in my goal of skills to have.

Here are a couple of my cars I have built. Both were solid to start with. I'm looking forward to bringing a rusty car back from the dead next.

Welcome back Richard,

Nice cars. I'm partial to your '40 Standard.

Hi, I'm new here too again . I love your cars (each for different reasons !) I think the best way for metal newbys like me is to buy cars that don't need alot of work but that is price prohibitive . Sharing info. on cool sites like metalmeet.com and learning new stuff is truly a blessing ! Thanks.

Thanks guys. The 40 is long gone. I had to sell it to start the Olds. Now I am itching for something else so the Olds will have to go to start on the next one. My problem is I have such an eclectic car taste. I won't be happy until I can have a 40's hot rod,50's custom, pro-touring / gmachine muscle car, and a fast mid 80's Fbody small tire street / strip car.

Now where is that lotto ticket :D
