progress on my 54

here is some up to date pictures on my 54 windsor with 86 ltd driveline

i boxed off the front frame and welded on some rectangle tubing making the bumper bracket and frnder mounts i also made hinges to make the hood open backwards also used some round stock for the grill suport

i did learn when making the hinges, to make it work without the hood being flimsy you have to connect the right hinge to the left hinge, as soom as i did that the hood was very strong and able to be opened without scraching the fenders

ya it runs ,, you floor it and and it spins the tires
ya i have put hundreds of hours in the car since i got it not a ton of money though i think it will be a cool cruser


DAM last night i mounted the radiator got all the mounts made and welded them up and my stupid self didnt measure 2 times and now the bar that connects the hood hinges tougher hits the a/c condensor mount ,, looks like next time i work on the car i will be cutting off everything i just did


does anyone know how thick the metal conecting the hood hinges has to be to keep the hood sturdy?
