can anyone tell me the height and
length of the 5.9 cummins B engine.

Length 40" Width 25" Height 35.5" Weight 1,185lbs. I got this info. from the Aug. 2006 issue of Diesel Power. Hope this helps you out. What are you working on?

i got the same issue, i just thout that 35.5
was a lot taller than i wanted. i was hopeing
to get another opp.
im planing a car build would like to use a diesel
lot of power.

That should be interesting. People are getting some big horsepower and torque numbers from diesels. Its about time people realized that. Good luck with your project and keep everyone updated.

Sounds interesting.

Something I have noticed is that these cars seem to be pretty ill-handling unless you have a very special suspension under them. A real diesel (as opposed to the Olds diesels of the 80's) are very heavy. The F-R weight distribution will be worse than normal, so they don't handle turns real well. But straight line acceleration is awesome, if you have enough rubber.

it will be mid engine, with a Mendeola transaxle. i like front engine but
the 5.9 b is tall and would most likely stick out of the hood
