Here is the armour, in the first stage on the figure, and the armour plate ready for spot welding, you cant really see but the armour is still rough, straight from the bossing bag, which for sculpture looks really cool and the armour plate is smooth, the edging on the chest plate is ment to represent leather, and i them miged 10mm nuts to the outside to look like old rivets, there will be same sort of thing on the leg and groin armour, but I got my thum between the hammer and dolly and i now have a black thum! :-( but that will teach me not to rush.. and not wear gloves! it all went very well with the armour. im pleased with it, the real task is the clothing, making steel to look like steel armour was not that hard, but making steel look like cotton, thats going to be interesting, I think ill bring him along to the UK Metal meet next month and see if I can get some idears 8) . Thank you for looking, sorry i got the wrong seting on my phone again some of the photos are a bit small. must get the book out and see how it works one day.

Great looking stuff, Martin. I like your unique project.

So, tell us about medieval spot-welding techniques!!

Hi Martin, great progress. The armor is looking super. Like Peter said, I like the Medieval Spot Weld technique. Gives the piece great texture. Love it. Thanks for sharing.

Looking mighty fine Mr. P.
What made you decide to go with paint in the end?

Hello, I went with the paint option mainly because I just like the matt black look to sculpture, i very nearly went with a blued steel look but the matt black gives it a certain something, you tend to focus on the shapes and form rather than one bit that grabs the eye, if that makes any sense at all? thanks for all your comments, Regards Martin.
