Hello all;
I am also new to the site. I'm trying to work my way through it. So I thought that I would start here with a post. I wanted to start off by saying thanks to those for starting such a awesome place for us to get together and meet others with similar interests. I also have a couple of Q's. First there is a spot at the top right of the screen that states that I have no new messages. Is this tied into my personal e-mail or tied into me through being a member? Final 'Q', I have built myself a planishing hammer out of a rivet gun and have absolutely no idea what the relationship between the top die and bottom die should be? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Jason,

Welcome to the site. It is best to read the tutorials first and FAQ to get up to speed on some of the features. The "you have no messages" refers to private messages that you can send to any of the members. It is similar to instant messages. If you see someone is on the board , you "PM" them for instant communication.

The most important feature on the site is the "view all posts since your last visit button" . Click that and all of the new posts are there.

If you do not answer them or have time to look at them, they go into the "view all unanswered posts " .

Using these features allows you to stay current with the flow of conversation.

The really nice thing about the site is you don't have spam attacks and too many e-mails coming in clogging up your computer.

This site will get better and better :D

Send in a picture ( you must upload it to a gallery first)of your planishing hammer so it will be easier to understand what you are confused about. :D I couldn't understand what you were asking.

It would be best to ask the question in the planishing hammer forum in the tools section.
