Hello All,
I intend to build a bench top ewheel and possibly at the same time change my 15 year old floor ewheel to a top adjuster. At the same time allowing for the use of multiple cradles to accept beading and tipping rollers.
I have been reading up on the ewheel building seminars and tutorials. Thank you Kerry, Wray and others for your contributions. I lack a couple bits of info.
#1 there was mention of an improved quill attachment by Capt Kirk. What and where might that be?
#2 If the 3/4X4X4 top adjuster plate is tapped, the nut on top of the plate serves what purpose?
I was considering a 3/8"x 4 x4 plate welded in with a 1&1/4" center hole drilled. Then another 3/8" plate 4x4 with a brass nut silver brazed in the center. The nut plate would have 7/16 through holes and bolt to the plate under it with 3/8 inch bolts. It could be adjusted and centered this way.
It's late and I may be off base but Browning or one of the Power transmission
product companies must have an off the shelf item that can do the same thing and eliminate all this drilling and tapping.
