I remeber all the hoopla that surrounded the burying of the concrete encased time capsule. It was a big event and received a lot of press coverage.

OK as a state was only 50 years old in 1957.

It will be interesting to see who wins the car. As I remember, or think as I remember, there were tickets sold / given out or ??

It will also be interesting to see how it survived the burial. If the capsule was not perfect, or had humidity in it when closed, it could easily be a junk....

I was there Monday, will be back there next week. There are standing offers from all over the world for that car. Apparently the cement box it is encased in was encased in cement also. There were lots of measures taken to preserve it. Tulsa had thousands of geoligists and engineers at that time. I'm pretty sure that they took all the precautions that the technology allowed. I read an article about it a few years ago. I imagine I'll try to get a look at it when they dig it up................john
