I bought some dollies, cross pene and bossing hammer, and a couple of metal planes at a deceased estate auction today. Bit eerie seeing a guy's lifetime collection of tools going under the hammer.....

The three legit dollies are branded "Plumb". Can I assume that like Plumb's hammers these are good quality? I am a total newbie to metalshaping.

After looking up dollies on the net I'm guessing I've got a Universal or Double End Hand Dolly; a mushroom dolly; and a heel/toe combination dolly. Have I got that right?

I know they are dirty in the pix, but I've been cleaning and lightly oiling them since then...

Nice find, I love finding stuff at auctions. Unfortunately, there just aren't many metal working tools to be found around here. At least in my experience. Maybe my timing or luck is just lacking. TODD

Hey SS, I think you can assume you struck it Plumb rich. What a find.

A little polishing and they'll be like new. That a good find, if you don't mind telling how much did you get them for?

Hi Seasalt
I have a few Plumb hammers and dollies, and I will say they are good quality!
At $35 aus, you did good!
