Have a friend with an older 15 inLeblond Regal due to some modifications by the P/O the serial # cant be read. I expect it was made in the 50's. Its main electrical switch that controls the fwd, rev and brake functions is located on the L/H end of the lathe behind a door. It is operated by mechanical linkage from a lever just to the right of the quick change gear box. We are in need of a wiring diagram for the switch it is Cuttler Hammer but is no longer made. We made new contacts for the switch and now all we can get is reverse no foward. At one time I found a user group for Leblond Lathes but now I can no longer find it CAN ANY ONE BE OF HELP TIA

Here a couple of relatively good search engines.

http://www.dogpile.com/
I got 74 hits with LeBlond Regal

http://www.google.com/
I got almost 100 hits with LeBlond Regal

There is a Yahoo group at

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Leblondlathe/

Good Luck,

The Yahoo group is OK, but traffic there is slow.

You can try calling LeBlond Ltd @ 888.532.5663 and ask about a general wiring diagram (since the S/N is unreadable.)

I checked the manual I have but it doesn't have a wiring diagram, if you post for help on the site linked below I'm sure they can help you out. The site is mostly machining related topics and can usually answer a pretty varied list of questions on many subjects.
Good Luck

To get it to reverse all you have to do is wire the switch so that two of the wires powering the motor are opposite from the way they are now. That's if the motor is 3 phase. If it's single phase there is usually a small diagram on the motor.
