Anyone know of good camber / caster angles to utilize with the 17" wheels on the front axle? I'll build my own uprights also -- anything special for angles required here or specifications? Also any preferance in regard to front steer -vs- rear steer on the uprights and/or bumpsteer concerns?

And has anyone done anything with the Comet differential to possibly power both rear wheels?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

I guess you're working on a cyclecar, so this may not be of much help? But here's a link to basic steering geometry:

Don't know about the Comet differential, but did a google search on it..... GREAT site with lots of parts!

To give you help on the angles I need more info: Track, arm lengths wheel offset, wanted scrub radius, outer diameter of wheel..... Then I might be able to draw something up for youhttp://www.metalmeet.com/forum/images/icons/icon6.gif

It is a CycleKart of sorts -- different engine, 17" cast Ducati Brembo rims, low profile motorcycle tires, chromoly tubing frame, rear differential, etc -- think of it as being a modern 2008 streetrod inspired CycleKart...

Partial concept image for now only -- I'd show more, but the details will be revealed later through build pictures and a few details are finalized in terms of suspension setup itself.

As for the suspension geometry itself, I bribed a friend at BAR Honda in the UK to design it currently given my wheels/tires, chassis dimensions, weight distribution, etc. Once I get the numbers, I will than build a suspension that will work via SolidWorks.
