Hi can someone tell me the dimensions for pullmax tooling. I have a swedish version that has .984 dia with a .5 rad. at the bottom to keep the tool straight and I need to know what the popular tooling is like
love this forum
thanks

HI wayne, I can't help you with a P9 but I'm sure someone will.

I just picked up a P-9 as well and are in need of some tooling. Any help would be better than what I have now. I did manage to pickup a couple of manuals on the pullmax on e-bay. Thanks. Curtis.

Hi, All pulmax`s are set up for metric tooling sizes but it is always very close to an english standard size therfore with a little belt sanding you can use 1 inch square stock,My p6 takes 19 millameter andd sometimes 3/4 inch works and sometimes it needs to be cleaned a little. You can find metric specialty steel houses that will sell you the metric stock but you have to decide how you want to go about it.The 1 inch stock will also work well for the face part of the die.You have to make a few dies to get yourself going and then you will find it is not that hard to quickly design the tooling as needed for each new situation. You don`t need any fancy machine shpo equipment but can use cut off wheel drills and die grinders to get all of the contours needed. It will take awhile to learn how to make the lead on the tooling to eliminate tooling marks but you test the tool and then do more blending as needed to clean the punch and die up.
